Student Contributions

Inviting students to express their own ideas is a great way to get them involved and build confidence with their writing.  Don't forget, even those who are too shy to speak up in class often have important things to say.

The following poem was submitted by Summer Thomas:

Do you know what hope is?
It's not a prescription.
It shimmers under sorrow.
Do you know what hope is?
It's dreaming of tomorrow.
It's pushing past impossible,
a rollar coaster ride.
Do you know what hope is?
It's perfume for the spirit.
Take my hand, come.
